Twickenham community support

AltText

Welcome to Home Turf, the Rugby Football Union’s community relations programme for neighbouring schools, charities and organisations.

Twickenham Stadium is at the heart of the local community and works closely with communities from Isleworth, Hounslow and Feltham in the north and west, to Whitton, Twickenham and Richmond in the south and east.

Stadium facilities are also made available for local organisations’ meetings or events and the RFU works closely with local councils and organisations to minimise disruption from events and maximise the benefit to the locality.

Lineout is a resident’s newsletter is delivered free locally and can be accessed online.

Local groups

The RFU is delighted to offer free room hire for local organisations in the surrounding area. These range from the Live Room Theatre, which is perfect for Arts/Drama/Music, to smaller rooms for meetings. We guarantee 30 slots per year, but will always accommodate local groups where possible.

The room hire cost will be waived, although there may be some small charges depending on the nature of the event and when it takes place. These can be discussed upon enquiry. Room booking enquiries can be made at any time via email.

Event day measures

We aim to ensure that the security and policing around event days are responsive to residents’ needs and feedback is welcome.

Event Day Measures include extra stewards in the streets, mobile toilets, street cleaning, parking controls via CPZ  and shuttle buses.

We host a panel of local representatives from the police, council, businesses and residents who regularly meet to discuss any ideas, issues and concerns. You can see the latest minutes here.
