Continental Tyres has become the Rugby Football Union’s (RFU), the Senior men’s and Red Roses team Official Partner and title sponsor of the Continental Tyres Schools Cup in a multi-year partnership.
The partnership will focus on performance and safety on and off the pitch, through the RFU’s involvement with schools and other opportunities for both boys and girls to play.
The five-year partnership will also see Continental support England rugby fans’ journey from local to international fixtures, helping them support both the Senior men’s and Red Roses squad throughout major stages in their respective competitions.
Steve Grainger, RFU Executive Director of Rugby Development said: “We’re really pleased to announce Continental Tyres’ long-term partnership with the RFU.”
“The Continental Tyres Schools Cup is an important part of the age-grade rugby competition landscape and support from Continental Tyres to enhance this over time is significant. In addition, they will work with us on our broader rugby activity in schools for both boys and girls.”
Tarik Gorgun, Managing Director for Continental Tyres, said: “We’re excited to be named the RFU’s Official Partner and can’t wait to see the Continental Tyres Schools Cup kick-off. This is the latest high-profile partnership in our long history of involvement in both male and female sport, from grassroots to the very highest level.”
